Welcoming atmosphere was acknowledged as soon as we walked the door. A large variety in the menu, had a waiter told me one item on the sushi wasn't being serve because of the age of the fish didn't meet there standards I appreciated the integrity of a resturant that's honest. The cuts of meet was high quality also good tasty dishes too

One of the best meals we have had in a long time. We were looking for sushi after returning to the Long Beach dock and found a gem. They have excellent quality fish for the sushi and amazing Thai food. We ordered salmon sashimi, angel wings, and a spring roll (and a bunch of other stuff.) Everything was so fresh and the service was perfect, they knew exactly how to pace our meal without us asking. The sauce that comes with the angel wings is so good on everything! Wish I asked for extra to take home

This place is not the same—it’s under new ownership, and the drop in quality and service is very noticeable. If you’re coming here expecting anything close to what this place used to be, don’t. We arrived at 9:15pm, well within the posted hours that say they close at 10pm. The moment we walked in, someone at the sushi bar looked at their watch with visible irritation and told us the kitchen had already closed at 9. That alone was confusing given their posted hours, but it was the attitude that really stood out. Instead of feeling welcomed as paying customers, we were made to feel like an inconvenience. There was no effort to accommodate, explain politely, or even show basic customer service. We were fully prepared to spend over $350 on dinner, and it was clear that didn’t matter at all. At that point, we decided to leave and take our business somewhere else—somewhere that actually values customers and their hard-earned money. Really disappointing experience. The difference from what this place used to be is night and day, and unfortunately not in a good way. I won’t be back.

My boyfriend and I ate here and really enjoyed everything we got. I ordered the dinner bento box which was an amazing deal for how much food I got. Our favorite was the potato croquettes! I also love miso soup and they had some of the most flavorful I’ve gotten in a long time. Staff were very friendly and I really enjoyed the menu offerings. Would love to come back and try something new soon!

The best local spot around. My family and I love finding local spots to cater to our random Thai cravings. Baiplu definitely went above and beyond our expectations. We ordered the crab rangoon, pad thai, pad see ew and the coconut soup (the usual classics) and each dish was a winner. You can tell a lot about a restaurant when you try their classic dishes . My favorite was the pad see ew. It had the right amount of sweetness and I liked that they were very generous with the tofu. I also thought the service was very good and we never had to wave a server down. Overall, I think this is a great spot restaurant that I will put into my restaurant rotation. Next time, I will try their sushi and update my review when I have done so!
